Staying in touch is a little hard when everyone’s so far apart. Certain things help like email, but your tied to a computer, which isn’t always possible. Then there’s mobile phones, but a lot of the time you don’t have enough to say to warrant a phone call. Text messages are the best yet, but even then you need something specific to talk about.
Thats why someone created a website/service called Twitter.
You create an account, and then send updates to it, telling it what you’re currently doing. And then you can add friends to keep track of what they’re up too.
This in itself is pretty cool, but the best thing about it is you can do it all from your mobile, using text messages to update what your doing and by receiving text messages when one of your friends updates his or her status.
Its a nice idea.
“Friends near or far can use Twitter to remain somewhat close while far away.”
So yeah, if your feel like trying it out sign up and invite all your mates, and then add me as a friend here.

Been following your journey in Australia. Very envious – looks like you guys are really enjoying ur selves. If i was 20 yrs younger i’d be there myself but i’ve had my fun in the world of travel. If you ever get down just think of Whitehaven and that’ll cheer u up. The wife reckons Perth is nice and 12 apostles but Hamilton Island takes some beating. Keep in touch and stay safe but if you can’t stay safe name it after me. Canada is here waiting for u.

Hi you guys, sounds like fun out there. just been speaking to your Mam (Brenda), you’ve obviously been enjoying yourselves that much that you’ve forgotten to keep in touch with your loved ones. Give them a ring as they are worried cos they haven’t heard from you.
Take care
Steve
